SKOWHEGAN – A Maine man who told detectives he got drunk, didn’t take his medication and does not remember fatally shooting his father is scheduled for a plea hearing.
Zachary Grant of Abbott said he doesn’t remember going to the Parkman home of his father, 61-year-old David Grant, last May. He turned the gun on himself, but survived shooting himself in the head.
Grant was due in court on Friday in Skowhegan.
Police say the elder Grant was shot to death in his front yard. The medical examiner’s office said the victim died from multiple gunshots.
