Sports Reporter – Times Record

The Times Record in Brunswick Maine is seeking a full-time sports reporter to join their team.

This position will cover local sports in the southern Midcoast Maine area including:

• Local high school home and away games
• Bowdoin college home and away games
• Community sporting events (such as but not limited to, Legion games, local Recreation Department games, Little League, etc.);

The Sports Reporter is also responsible for:

• Producing high-quality photos of sporting events
• Paginating sports pages
• Coordinating coverage with other reporters within Masthead Maine’s network of papers
• Filling in for the Sports Editor as needed

Our Ideal Candidate has:

• Previous journalism experience (specifically in sports)
• A passion for local sports
• Basic photography knowledge and experience
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to travel throughout the Midcoast to cover games
• College degree or equivalent experience
