APRIL 3: Korean War veteran George McCann, 81, is wheeled by Earl Morse through the Portland Jetport upon returning from his Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Morse, a retired Air Force serviceman and founder of the Honor Flight Network who make these trips honoring veterans possible, was Mr. McCann’s guardian on the trip to visit the Korean War Memorial in Washington. Representatives of the Kora Shrine Legion of Honor, Kora Highlanders, (both of Lewiston) the Patriot Riders, the Portland Police and the Freeport Flag Ladies were onhand to welcome and honor Mr. McCann.
