Maine Central Institute’s Eric Hathaway finished second in the javelin with a throw of 163-0 and won the state title in the shot put with a throw of 52-7 .
Kents Hill’s Leila Alfaro clears a hurdle during the 100 hurdles. Alfaro finished third with a time of 15.99 seconds. Kylene DeSmith of Seacoast Christian won the event in 15.80, to go along with a victory in the triple jump.
Oak Hill’s Drew Gamage finished second in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet at the Class C state meet Saturday in Yarmouth. Gamage also set a Class C record in the triple jump.
NYA’s Muriel Adams had reason to smile after breaking the state record in the discus with a throw of 128-7.
