Ray Shevenell re-enacts an ancestor’s walk from Quebec
Portland native Ray Shevenell, 74, finishes a 188-mile walk from Compton, Quebec, to Biddeford, a 12-day re-enactment of his ancestor's journey. Israel Shevenell made the trip in 1845 and is recognized as the city's first French-Canadian settler. Posted
