KENNEBUNK – Brendan Guevin pitched a four-hitter Thursday to lead Kennebunk to a 3-1 victory over Thornton Academy in a Telegram League baseball game

Kip Richard and Nick Emmons scored on a throwing error with two outs in the first inning to give the Rams (5-9) an early lead.

Thornton (8-6) scored one run in the top of the fifth, but Geuvin delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning, scoring Ned Richard.

CAPE ELIZABETH 17, WAYNFLETE 1: Charlie Laprade struck out 11 and walked none in a five-hitter to lead the Capers (7-8) past the Flyers (8-5) in five innings at Cape Elizabeth.

The Capers had eight hits, and took advantage of nine walks and five hit batters.

CHEVERUS 3, GORHAM 2: Chris Tinsman hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning to drive in Nick Melville with the winning run for Cheverus (10-4) against Gorham (3-11) at Portland.

Ryan Casale of Cheverus gave up six hits and allowed one earned run. He struck out five and walked two.

Matt LeClair of Gorham pitched a five-hitter with two strikeouts and two walks.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 8, BUCKFIELD 7: Quincy Grace hit a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Seagulls (5-9) won at Old Orchard Beach to send Buckfield (12-1) to its first loss.

Grace finished with three RBI on two doubles and a sacrifice fly. Sean McDermott added three hits and an RBI for the Seagulls, including two doubles.

WESTBROOK 10, PORTLAND 0: Joe Dvilinsky pitched a no-hitter with two strikeouts and four walks as the Blue Blazes (10-4) beat the Bulldogs (4-10) in five innings at Portland.

Westbrook took advantage of five hits, three errors and two walks to score eight runs in the first inning.

Matt Moody had two hits for the Blue Blazes.

BONNY EAGLE 3, BIDDEFORD 2: Travis Rogers singled home Evan Amell with the go-ahead run in a two-run sixth inning as the Scots (6-8) beat the Tigers (6-8) at Standish.

Tom Hazelton hit a sacrifice fly to drive in Andrew Mowatt with the tying run.

Hazelton tossed a six-hitter, striking out five and walking none.

Patrick Wilson of Biddeford allowed five hits and one walk, striking out five.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3, WELLS 2: Pat Robinson pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and had three hits to lead the Patriots (9-6) over the Warriors (7-7) at Wells.

Tim Lerette also had three hits and Austen Keenan finished with two for Gray-New Gloucester.

Joseph Spinelli had two hits for Wells.

MARSHWOOD 9, NOBLE 1: Luke Fernandes had a triple and two RBI, and allowed two hits in four innings as the Hawks (12-2) beat the Knights (4-10) at North Berwick.

Tyler Pratt also drove in two runs for Marshwood. Matt Brenner added a double, an RBI and two runs.

Gordon Potter tripled in the first and scored on a single by Damian Gibson for Noble.

SOUTH PORTLAND 5, DEERING 1: Nick Whitten tripled home Shawn Shannon with the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning and the Red Riots (5-9) tacked on three more to down the Rams (4-10) at Portland.

Matt DiBiase allowed six hits in 81/3 innings for South Portland. Nick DiBiase pitched into the ninth for Deering, allowing 10 hits.

The teams traded first-inning runs on Matt DiBiase’s sacrifice fly and Luke Boyle’s RBI double.

WISCASSET 7, CARRABEC 3: James Grover had a double and two singles as the Wolverines (8-6) beat the Cobras (1-12) at North Anson.

Jason Weatherbee, Edward Stewart and Corey Hodgdon each added two singles for Wiscasset.

Christian Miller had two singles for Carrabec.
