Josh Keefe has staked his claim as the worst high school quarterback. Ever.

Keefe, a blogger from Veazie, Maine who currently lives in Brooklyn, submitted a story to the website Slate chronicling his high school football career at John Bapst Memorial High that ended with an 0-23 record. The losing began for the Bangor school when Keefe was in eighth grade. By the time the string was over, John Bapst had lost 41 consecutive games from 1998 to 2003.

As Keefe writes, “I am confident in saying I was the worst high school quarterback of all time.

“That’s not to say it was all my fault. Losing was a total team effort. We were the John Bapst Crusaders, and we never came close to the Holy land.”
