AUGUSTA – A Maine government survey says the average statewide price for heating oil has gone up for the first time in several months.
The Governor’s Energy Office says the average price according to the March 14 survey was $1.72 per gallon. That is 4 cents higher than a week ago.
The average season-long heating price of $1.87 is still the lowest price since the energy office started keeping records in 2004.
The average kerosene price of $2.26 was up a penny from the previous week. Propane prices dropped a penny to $2.22.
