READING, Penn. — The Portland Sea Dogs will have to wait another day to open their road series against the Reading Fightin Phils, as Friday’s game was postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up Saturday as part of a doubleheader, beginning at 5 p.m.

Keith Couch is scheduled to make his first start of the season for the Sea Dogs in Saturday’s first game after he was reassigned this week from Triple-A Pawtucket. Couch was 19-5 with a 3.25 ERA for the Sea Dogs in 2013 and 2014, then spent the entire 2015 season with Pawtucket, going 4-10 with a 6.14 ERA. He was 0-1 with a 3.48 ERA in two appearances this year, including one start.

Portland is 4-3 this season against the Fightin Phils. The teams began the season by splitting a four-game series in Reading.
