Scarborough police say an accident near the Oak Hill intersection has been cleared, but traffic is still very heavy and motorists should expect delays.
The accident occurred Thursday afternoon when a camper backed into a gas pump at Village Center Mobil station at the corner of routes 1 and 114.
The presence of fire apparatus in and around the intersection caused traffic delays, with traffic backed up several miles.
