So, doctors get money from drug sales representatives.
The medical profession could learn from licensed professional engineers. I served on the Maine Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers for 15 years.
If a licensed engineer accepts anything more than a ballpoint pen from a sales representative, the engineer could lose his license, be publicly chastised and receive a fine of $1,000 or more.
The Maine Legislature needs to change the medical doctor licensing law.
