About 2,140 Central Maine Power customers remained without power shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday due to Friday’s windstorm, but officials expect to restore their electricity by the end of Saturday.
The remaining customers without power are mostly in Cumberland and Lincoln counties. About 64,000 customers lost power at some point during the storm, most of them in coastal communities, said John Carroll, CMP spokesman.
He urged motorists to be on the lookout and be prepared to stop for repair crews.
