Thornton (10-1) advanced to the state final next Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. It will be Thornton's first appearance in a state championship game since 1988.

Cheverus (10-1) lost for the first time since a 7-6 defeat to Windham in the 2009 regional final. The Stags had won the last two Class A state titles.
