Windham wins American Legion state baseball title

Windham came from the loser's bracket to win its first American Legion state baseball title with a 9-1 win over Westbrook.

Joey Francoeur knocked in three runs while his twin brother, Shawn Francoeur, added a two-run double for 22-5 Windham.

The title game was postponed from Sunday because of the threat of rain.

Windham used five pitchers. Windham advances to the Northeast Regional Tournament in Middletown, Conn.
