Crash on turnpike south of Gray slows commute

A major crash on the Maine Turnpike between Gray and Falmouth is slowing southbound traffic.

The Maine Turnpike Authority said at 8:00 a.m. that there was a multi-vehicle crash that is blocking the left lane at Mile 59. Four miles south of Exit 63 in Gray.

State police report there were at least six vehicles involved in the crash and that there were no serious injuries.

Turnpike Authority urged motorists to seek alternate routes and for those approaching the crash site, to slow down.
