Coyotes recall veteran Pirates Kennedy and Yip

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled veteran forwards Tim Kennedy and Brandon Yip and assigned forwards Chris Brown and Lucas Lessio to the Portland Pirates, their AHL affiliate.

Between them, Kennedy and Yip have played 297 career NHL games.

Brown, a second-year pro who scored 29 goals for the Pirates last season, and Lessio, a rookie who had a goal and an assist in five games with the Pirates last spring, each were scoreless in three games with Phoenix this season.
