The Red Storm volleyball team had two huge victories last week.

A 3-1, first-ever win over Biddeford gave the Red Storm four victories to match the best total number of wins they’ve had in a season.

Last Thursday, the squad beat Kennebunk for the second time, 3-1 (30-32, 25-19, 25-19, 25-17).

Coach Jody King said the team had a slow start, committing 10 hitting errors and six serving errors in the first game, fallingbehind early then fighting back to a tie late in the game. From there it went back and forth until Kennebunk won.

“The next three games we picked up our intensity,” King said, “covering the court extremely well and reduing our errors.”

The Red Storm were scheduled to play Greely on Tuesday and Gorham this Thursday.
