Two people arrested in Scarborough on drug charges have been indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury for trafficking heroin and for possession of heroin.

Scott Applebee, 43, and Erin Falconer, 23, were arrested on Jan. 26 by Officer Joshua Guay of the Scarborough Police Department. According to Guay, Applebee and Falconer both had driver’s licenses with South Portland addresses, but had been residing at a hotel in Scarborough.

According to Guay, he had probable cause for believing that they were in possession of heroin, obtained a warrant and entered their hotel room. He said he found about a gram of heroin, loose, in a pile on a plate as well as scales, baggies and packaging that indicated they were selling the drug.

Falconer is currently being held at Cumberland County Jail. Applebee was released. A representative from the Superior Court said an arraignment date had not yet been set.
