Last year’s part-time farmers market in Scarborough, above, has blossomed into a full season this year. The Scarborough Farmers Market kicks off Sunday, June 21, and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each Sunday through Sept. 13. Local vendors at the market, which will set up in the lower high school parking lot, off Route 1 behind Scarborough Town Hall, include: Broadturn Farm; Deep Roots Produce Farm; The Growlin’ Gourmet; Root One; Kitchen & Cork; Mainely Herbs; Worm-Mainea; Fields of Dreams Soaps; Scarborough Land Conservation Trust; Griffin’s Lobster Barn; Spelt-Right Baking; The Sweet Specialist; Silvery Moon Creamery; Alewives Brook Farm; Royces Rustics; Catch A Piece of Maine; Mia’s; Wright’s Haven Farm; Nellie’s; Liberty Fields; Creeping Thyme Farm, Long Plains Alpacas and more. An earth machine composter with an $80 retail value will be raffled off each week courtesy of Scarborough Public Works through the efforts of Karen D’Andrea and Sarah Wojcoski.
