YARMOUTH — Nomination papers for the June 8 municipal elections will be available at the town clerk’s office at Town Hall on Thursday, March 18.

There are two Town Council seats, two School Committee seats and one seat on the Water District Board of Trustees to fill. All positions are three-year terms.

Terms are expiring for council Chairman Mark Hough and Councilor Kent Peterson. Hough is not eligible to run again because he has served two consecutive three-year terms; Peterson is eligible for another term.

The seats on the School Committee are held by Art Bell and Abigail Diggins. Both of them can run again after completing their first terms.

William Reinsborough is eligible to seek another term on the water district. The board is made up of four Yarmouth residents and one from North Yarmouth.

Nomination papers must contain 25 signatures, and must be returned to the Town Hall, 200 Main St., by Monday, April 26. The election will take place June 8 at the AMVETS Hall on North Road.

The annual Town Meeting will be on June 1 at Harrison Middle School.
