The South Portland High School Jazz Band placed second in Division I on Saturday evening, March 27, at the State High School Instrumental Jazz Festival in South Portland. Eighty-nine bands and ensembles from 40 schools competed. Other winners included Cape Elizabeth, which finished third in Division II.
