LIGHT POLLUTION is a glow from artificial light that obscures the night sky. Many big city dwellers rarely see stars and both humans and animals are used to light nights.

WHEN HEADING into the wilderness for camping or adventure, why not limit your light source to an environmentally friendly, solar powered lantern?

THE K-LIGHT Solar Lantern is a 100 percent solar powered light source. It can be used as a lantern or a flashlight and does not require batteries. The light has two settings, low and high. For every hour of charge, the K-Light provides one full-light hour or two half-light hours.

THE K-LIGHT attaches to a solar pad which can be charged outdoors in cloudy weather or indoors near a sunny weather. Direct sunlight provides the most efficient charge but the pad will absorb energy in snowy or drizzling weather. A full days charge (about 10 hours) should provide 20 hours of use.

BOTH THE PAD and light are designed to be water resistant and the LED light is meant to last for 100,000 hours of use. If used just recreationally, the light is intended for lifetime use.

THE K-LIGHT has rotating handles and weighs 22 ounces. $59.95 at PiSatSolar.com
