The Maine Turnpike Authority has lifted its travel advisory for the southbound lanes in Kennebunk.

Crews have cleared the scene of a tractor-trailer fire that broke out at 10:40 a.m. The fire had slowed southbound traffic while emergency crews responded and closed down at least one travel lane. The announcement that the road was open was issued at 1:16 p.m.

Southbound traffic on the Maine Turnpike is being delayed by a tractor-trailer that has caught fire in Kennebunk.

The fire was reported to Maine State Police at 10:40 a.m.

The Maine Turnpike Authority issued a travel alert at 11:24 a.m., saying motorists traveling south near mile marker 25 in Kennebunk can expect delays.

Emergency workers are on the scene.
