Portland police are investigating a break-in at Steve and Renee’s Diner at 500 Washington Ave. this morning.
Three men broke a window to get into the diner at 4:25 a.m. and made off with a cash register with cash inside. Police would not say how much was taken.
This is the second burglary to the diner this year, but it is believed to be unrelated to the previous one because a suspect in that case has been arrested, police said.
A police dog tried to track the burglars but lost the scent a short distance away, police said.
