Monday is the is the last chance to view “Place,” an exhibition of work by first-year students at Maine College of Art. The group exhibition, on view in the Porteous Building through Monday, highlights students’ works and their collaborative venture with MECA’s community and business partners.

The work on view represents six clusters of students working with faculty to respond to assignments generated in collaboration with community partners, including Cultivating Multicultural Alliance, Cultivating Community, Diversified Business Communications, Local Sprouts, Space Gallery, Satronen Sound, Kris Johnsen, East End School and Portland Public Library.

The Porteous Building, 522 Congress St., is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
