Authorities have identified the woman killed in a morning crash in Dayton as Sandra Lambert, 43, of Limerick.

The crash happened at 10 a.m. and also sent Lambert’s passenger, Cindy Kamszik, 36, of Buxton to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

The crash happened in front of D and H Convenience Store at the intersections of Routes 5 and 35.

Lambert was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile sedan east on Route 5 when the car was hit by a 2003 Dodge 1500 pickup driven by Jeffrey V. Makela, 25, of Standish. Makela was headed north on Route 35 and failed to stop at a stop sign, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision pushed the Oldsmobile into a dump truck owned by Thyng Paving of Lyman, which was stopped in traffic.

Makela was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, where he was treated and released.
