ROCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire fire official says a car burst into flames in Rochester after the driver spun the wheels too long while trying to get the car out of a snowbank.

Rochester Fire Marshal Mark Dupuis says the driver escaped uninjured after the Tuesday morning fire, but the vehicle was destroyed. It was not insured.

Dupuis says the car was stuck in the snow and the driver pushed the car to the limit.

He tells Foster’s Daily Democrat even “spinning the tires a little bit is something you don’t want to do.”
