SACO — Saco police officers raided stove retailer Mainely Stoves at 660 Main St. today after receiving numerous complaints about the business by customers, said a Saco Police Department press release.

The police also searched the home of the company’s owners, John Michael Grover, 59, and Lori Morin, 45, at 11 Goosefare Drive.

Officers seized “boxes and boxes” of business records, computers and computer drives.

The release said the raid followed a string of complaints by customers who said the company failed to deliver merchandise that was paid for. Customers also said the company failed to return their money, and has been unresponsive.

The release said reviewing the business records will take time. Saco police have consulted with the Maine Attorney General’s Office and the district attorney.
