It is the third All-Conference selection, but the first First Team appearance for Henrikson, who led the Polar Bears to a 19-7 record and the program’s 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

The senior from Morse High School has recorded one of the best single seasons in the storied history of Bowdoin women’s basketball by averaging 17 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest this season. Twice named as the NESCAC’s Player of the Week this winter, she led the conference in scoring by over two points per game, was first in steals (2.81/game), first in free throw percentage (.874) and third in 3-pointers made (49).

On Feb. 11 against Trinity College, Henrikson became the 12th player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points. Entering the first round of the NCAA Tournament this weekend (Friday vs. the University of Southern Maine, Ithaca, N.Y., 6 p.m.), Henrikson has 1,041 total points to stand 10th all-time at Bowdoin. Her 124 career 3-pointers are fifth in program history, while her 307 free throws made are fourth. Henrikson’s .837 career free throw percentage is presently first all-time at Bowdoin.
