BIDDEFORD — With the help of a fundraiser sponsored by Cumberland Farms, the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center will be receiving financial support for its pediatric programs and services.

During the next four weeks, participating Cumberland Farms stores in Maine will donate five cents per cup from its coffee sales to benefit the state’s only full-service children’s hospital. According to a news release, the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital offers everything from wellchild visits to specialized medical and surgical treatment of complex illnesses and injuries.

“The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital cares for more than 55,000 children each year, offering everything from routine checkups and immunizations to the treatment of life-threatening illnesses and injuries,” said Elliott Pitts, development manager at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. “We are thankful for this exciting new partnership with Cumberland Farms, and for the impact it will make on the lives of our patients and families.”

“We are grateful to be supporting an exceptional children’s hospital that delivers personalized care to children and their families. All of us at Cumberland Farms hope that our efforts will help the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital to continue providing children and families with firstclass care,” said Ari Haseotes, Cumberland Farms’ retail president.
