PORTLAND — The shuffling has stopped for now.

Where did all those minor league players end up?

Here’s a look at future and former Sea Dogs:

THE SALEM RED SOX, Boston’s advanced Class A affiliate, feature some of the organization’s top prospects – 19-year-old Aruban shortstop Xander Bogaerts (No. 2 ranked Boston prospect by Baseball America), outfielders Brandon Jacobs (6) and Jackie Bradley Jr. (10), second baseman Sean Coyle (14) and left-handed pitcher Drake Britton (16).

All five could end up in Portland later this year.

Britton, 22, is on Boston’s 40-man roster and will be at Hadlock Field as soon as he shows signs he’s shaken off last year’s struggles (1-13, 6.91 ERA in Salem).

It will be interesting to watch the progress of Bogaerts, who hit 16 home runs in 72 games in Class A Greenville last year, his first season in the U.S.

THE GREENVILLE DRIVE will feature the top three Boston draft picks from last June, even though two of them were picked out of high school – catcher Blake Swihart, 20, and pitcher Henry Owens, 19.

That’s a lot of faith in the kids.

Boston’s top pick in 2011, UConn pitcher Matt Barnes, will make his pro debut in Greenville.

PLENTY OF FORMER Sea Dogs can be found on rosters all over baseball, including the majors.

Kyle Weiland made the starting rotation for the Houston Astros and shortstop Jed Lowrie will be a teammate when his sprained thumb heals.

Josh Reddick is one of six outfielders on the Oakland A’s roster.

And Yamaico Navarro made the Pirates as a utility infielder.

Catcher Tim Federowicz was sent down to Triple-A by the Dodgers, who have former Sea Dog Matt Treanor as their backup catcher.

Federowicz will be very familiar with one of his pitchers in Albuquerque – former Sea Dogs teammate Stephen Fife.

While Reddick plays in Oakland, another right fielder from Hadlock Field – Brandon Moss – is playing for the A’s Triple-A team in Sacramento.

Moss’ former teammate in the Sea Dogs outfield, David Murphy, still plays for the Texas Rangers.

Catcher Dusty Brown signed with Texas this year and is in Triple-A. Pitcher Kyle Fernandes also signed with the Rangers but was released at the end of spring training.

Justin Masterson still pitches for the Cleveland Indians. He was the opening-day starter Thursday and dominated – eight innings, two hits, one run, one walk, 10 strikeouts.

Manny Delcarmen resurfaced after arm trouble with Seattle. He’s pitching for the Yankees’ Triple-A team. He started Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s opener and allowed one hit, one earned run and four walks over 12/3 innings.

The Yankees obtained left-hander Cesar Cabral through the Rule 5 draft (actually, Kansas City drafted Cabral from the Red Sox, then New York traded for him). Cabral will stay on the Yankees’ roster but is on the disabled list. He suffered a stress fracture in his elbow.

Pitcher Robert Coello landed with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A team in Las Vegas.

Pitcher Casey Kelly and first baseman Anthony Rizzo, the two key figures in the Adrian Gonzalez trade, are both in Triple-A – Kelly with the Padres, Rizzo with the Cubs.

Reliever Jason Rice ended up with the Braves in Triple-A.

Outfielder Chih-Hsien Chiang, traded with Federowicz and Fife in the Erik Bedard deal last July, is starting his third Double-A season, this time with Seattle.

Left-hander Kris Johnson may return to Hadlock Field. He’s with the Pirates’ Double-A team in Altoona, Pa., although the Curve won’t come to Portland until mid-August.
