WISCASSET — Sweetser has partnered with Wiscasset Family Medicine, a primary care practice, to provide behavioral health services to patients.

Rhonda Selvin, a family nurse practitioner at Wiscasset Family Medicine, said in a news release, “We’ve seen how deeply mental health issues can impact physical health, and many of our patients have limited resources but expanding needs. The response has already been very positive from our patients, as well as our employees who are pleased with the opportunity to offer additional services within the practice, rather than referring out.”

“This approach is really all about providing a better continuum of care for people who need our services. We’re right in the place where they are already going for a checkup or physical health services, and when their primary care provider finds they may need additional behavioral health services we’re right down the hall and will provide them with that,” said Sweetser President and CEO Carl Pendleton.
