Arts Center and New England Regional Theater Company have been rehearsing to present a country rock concert to raise money for Studio 48 scholarship fund.

Private students as well as singers in Glee Club have been preparing popular song selections to perform with a live “rock band.” Song titles range from “Let it Be” by the Beatles to “Sparks Fly” by Taylor Swift.

The Junior Glee Club and Glee Club will perform a rendition of Adele’s “Rumor Has it / Someone like you.”

Raising scholarship money will enable more students to participate in programs offered by Studio 48 by cutting costs as much as 50 percent, a Studio 48 release states.

Students as young as 7 years old will perform.

Performing on the program will be Sarah and Hannah Perreault, Sararose Willey, EmaLeigh Aschbrenner, Taylor Messerman, Johnmarcus Willey, Alexa Reddy, Clementine Boone, Julia Baumgarte, Claire Dauge-Roth, Brian Pelletier, Charlotte and Madeleine Blakemore, Emma Rankins, Juliet Williams, Sarah Young, Sula Demers, Elizabeth Porter, Bella Driscoll, Sophia Wood, Fiona Brown, Laney Schultz and Charlotte MacMillan.

Ida Messerman teaches the choreography. Playing in the band will be Mike Haskell of Bowdoin, Joe, Nick and Tammy Arsenault, all of Dresden; and Rebecca Beck of Brunswick.

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Proceeds from the concert will fund scholarships to the Studio 48 Performing Arts Center for summer workshops and other offerings.
