BRUNSWICK

The annual Curtis Friends Book Sale runs from Friday through Sunday at Brunswick Junior High School, 65 Columbia Ave.

This year’s sale will feature more than 70,000 items including books, tapes, compact discs and DVDs.

“Donations are up over last year and we’re expecting this to be our biggest sale yet,” Jeff Reynolds, chairman of the sale, said in a Curtis Friends release.

Books will be arranged in more than 40 categories. Paperback pricing starts at 50 cents, and hardcover books cost $3 or less. Prices are progressively discounted each day, and on Sunday shoppers can fill a grocery bag with books for $3.

A Member Appreciation sale for members of Curtis Friends runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memberships are available at the door for $10 to $30. Members may purchase up to 30 books on Thursday, based on their membership level.

Regular sale hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Proceeds from the sale benefit programming and collection development at Curtis Memorial Library. Items not sold will be donated to local nonprofit organizations.
