WISCASSET — Wiscasset Adult & Community Education is sponsoring two events this fall that will support Maine Breast Cancer Coalition’s Support Service Fund.

The first event is Antiques On-the-Road Again, Wiscasset style, hosted by John Bottero, local antiques appraiser on Monday at Wiscasset High School from 6 to 8 p.m. Folks from the Mid-coast and surrounding areas are invited to bring in their antiques and Bottero will give them an estimate of the value of their piece.

Additionally, local antiques dealers will have booths set up to sell their wares. Everyone coming through the door will be invited to make a donation. Vendor tables are available for a $25 donation.

Those who would like an appraisal of an antique by Bottero must pre-register by calling the Wiscasset Adult & Community Education office at 882-9710 or by emailing pcloutier@svrsu.org. A donation of $25 is suggested for the appraisal of one or two items.

The second event is a Pie Party on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wiscasset High School. This event will include pie making and pie eating contests. Professional and amateur bakers will create their best pies to be sampled by a panel of judges. Awards will go out in several categories.

Local kitchen merchants and vendors will be selling their products.

Please call to pre-register to be a contestant in the pie making or pie eating contest. Interested merchants are asked to call the Wiscasset Adult & Community Education office at 882-9710 to rent a vendor table for $25.

All proceeds from these events will be donated to Maine Breast Cancer Coalition’s Support Service Fund.
