BIDDEFORD (AP) — The daughter of former President George W. Bush is delivering the keynote speech at an upcoming event at the University of New England.

Jenna Bush Hager will deliver the school’s 2012 George and Barbara Bush Distinguished Lecture on Oct. 8. Hager is the daughter of George W. and Laura Bush, and the granddaughter of George H.W. and Barbara Bush.

University officials say Hager’s lecture topic is “The Power of Compassion and How it Can Change Lives.” The lecture is free and open to the public.

Hager is now a contributing correspondent for NBC News.
