SOUTH PORTLAND — The public library branch at 155 Wescott Road will be closed from Monday, Oct. 15, through at least the middle of November while the pedestrian bridges leading to library entrances are replaced.

Library Director Kevin Davis said the closure is the best way to ensure the $80,000 project is completed as quickly and cost effectively as possible.

Davis said the main library at 482 Broadway will expand its hours to a seven days a week to compensate for the branch being closed. For more information on the project and expanded library hours, visit southportlandlibrary.com.
