SCARBOROUGH — Republican Rep. Heather Sirocki has turned back a challenge from Democrat Jean-Marie Caterina and won a second term in House District 128, 3,029 to 2,913.

Sirocki, a dental hygienist, was first elected in 2010 to the seat covering the western portion of town from the Eastern Trail town lines with Gorham, Saco and Westbrook.

Caterina, owns a real estate company and is married to Scarborough Fire Capt. Geoff McLean. She was making her first run for elected office.

Results from the race are unofficial, but are expected to be certified by the Maine Secretary of State tonight, Town Clerk Yolande “Tody” Justice said.
