TOPSHAM — McTeague Higbee, a Maine law firm specializing in workers’ rights, recently announced the addition of a new associate attorney, Katherine Gatti.

Her practice will focus primarily on workers’ compensation.

Gatti received her law degree cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where she received the Pro Bono Publico Award and served as the head case note and comment editor for the Maine Law Review. She also served as student attorney for the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, providing legal representation and assistance to low-income clients in a wide range of cases including civil litigation and family law.

“We are very pleased to have Kate join our firm to help us fight for the rights of Maine workers,” said Jeffrey Cohen, managing partner at McTeague Higbee.

Gatti served as a summer associate for Rudman Winchell in Bangor and as a law clerk to John Beliveau and Rick Lawrence at the Maine District Court in Lewiston.
