BRUNSWICK — Sierra Wallace scored 11 points as the Bath Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team defeated rival Brunswick, 40-25.

The Destroyers led 6-2 after a quarter, but the Huskies pulled into a 13-13 deadlock at the half. Bath reclaimed control in third quarter, taking a 30-21 advantage.

Sophia Wilson chipped in eight points, while Emma Gould had seven, Madelin Mitchell six and Maddy McDonough four. Also chipped in on the offensive end were Mae Winglass, Katie Tucker and Macie Gagne.

In the defensive end, Aubrey Martin, Lauren Boubel, Mariah Albertson, Eva Machnitzky and Margaret Keating turned in strong efforts.

In the eighth-grade contest, Brunswick pulled out a close 33-27 decision over Bath.

Noa Sreden and Paige Daigle paced Bath with eight points each. Ann Tolan and Lily Harris (playing her first game) chipped in four points apiece, while Amanda Gagne rounded out the scoring with three.
