BRUNSWICK

Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary announced it has made the final $30,000 payment on its $150,000 pledge to help equip and furnish the walk-in clinic in downtown Brunswick.

Carolyn Gibson, Auxiliary president, presented the check to Mid Coast Hospital CEO Lois Skillings and thanked Mid-coast communities for making it possible.

“Without the support of our communities, we could not raise the money that we do,” Gibson said. “For example, every item donated to the yard sale is a show of support for the hospital and high quality health care. The Auxiliary is truly grateful that our fundraisers are extremely successful, and we thank all citizens for their contributions.”

Gibson said another Auxiliary pledge for the hospital will be announced early in the spring.

In addition to pledges, the Auxiliary awards $40,000 a year in health care scholarships to Mid-coast students, and also supports the hospital’s healing garden, Teddy Bear Club and palliative care program.
