BRUNSWICK — Joyce E. Adams, 80, of 150 McKeen St., died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Seaside Rehabilitation Center, Portland.

She was born in Brunswick, Sept. 19, 1932, the daughter of Maynard and Elizabeth Bragdon Albee. She graduated from Brunswick High School, Class of 1951. Her first husband Arthur G. Williams, Jr., died in 1971. She later married Paul A. Adams Sr., in Brunswick in January 1974.

Mrs. Adams was a telephone operator for AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

She was a member and former Matron of Hawthorne Chapter #104, OES, and precently a member of Electa Chapter OES. She was member and treasurer of Social Order of Beauceant; president of Downeast Chapter #1, Good Sam; member of Evergreen Senior Citizens Club; and a trustee of Growstown Cemetery Association.

She was a member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church, where she was a 50- plus year member of the Loyalty Club and the current treasurer. She was a life member of Fair Point Pioneers.

Joyce and Paul enjoyed many motorcycle trips across the USA and into Canada. She was a lover of most all outdoor activities, especially fishing, camping and boating.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband and a daughter, Deborah L. Williams, both of Brunswick; two sons, Paul A. Adams Jr. of St. Peterburgh, Fla., and Gary B. Adams and his wife, Carol of Georgetown; and a granddaughter, Dayna Marie Adams, a student in Fort Meyers, Fla.

Friends were invited to visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral service was to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Neil Gastonguay officiating. Interment will be in Growstown Cemetery.
