TOPSHAM — Highland Green residents and Road Scholar Ambassadors Jerry and Gretchen Davis will discuss their many Road Scholar travel experiences at the community center of Highland Green on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Road Scholar program instructor Jim Millinger will lecture on “Making a Living on Maine’s Mid-Coast” and the importance of transportation along the Maine coast from the days of sail, steam and diesel to the days of train, automobile and truck The talk will include a discussion of the historical and present day exploitation of Maine’s natural resources.

This is a complimentary event. Parking is free, a light lunch will be served and tours of the Highland Green facilities at 7 Evergreen Circle will be available.
