DAMARISCOTTA — The Wednesday Walkers, a walking/hiking group in the Mid-coast, has expanded this year.
Wednesday Walkers plan a hike/walk every Wednesday morning May through Novmber, weather permitting. All the hikes are fully documented with a description or map. A typical hike is in the 2-to-4-mile range, usually on trails maintained by a land trust organization. Hike leaders are land trust volunteers.
Walkers meet at the Friends Meeting House in Damariscotta Wednesday morning, then carpool to the walk/hike destination. Meeting the group at the walk/hike starting point is another option. Details including the start time (usually between 8:30 and 10 a.m.). It is emailed to the group by the hike leader a week ahead.
To receive emails regarding future hikes, email wednesday_walkers-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
For additional information or if you have trouble joining, contact wednesday_walkers-owner@yahoogroups.com.
