CASTINE – Josh Sundquist caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Gregory McGoldrick with 46 seconds left as Anna Maria College slipped past Maine Maritime Academy 55-49 on Saturday.

Anna Maria (1-1) scored 29 unanswered points to rally past the Mariners (0-1). Michael Fahey rushed for 217 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries for the Mariners, who led 49-26 with 11:57 left in the third quarter.

Billy Wetherbee added a pair of touchdowns and 163 yards rushing for Maine Maritime.

SPRINGFIELD 36, HUSSON 0: Louis Fenaroli ran for 92 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Pride (2-0) combined to rush for almost 400 yards in a win over the Eagles (0-2) at Springfield, Mass.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 3, NICHOLS 2: Margaret Palmer scored her second goal in the 82nd minute as the Nor’easters (4-2, 1-0) beat the Bison (2-3, 0-1) in a Commonwealth Coast game at Dudley, Mass.

Palmer opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Alex Wells scored just before halftime.
