Playoff time for SMCC
The Southern Maine Community College women’s soccer team hosted a Yankee Small College Conference playoff game Wednesday versus Unity College. The Seawolves completed their regular season 4-4-4 (3-2-2 in the YSCC) after tying Unity in the finale, 1-1 (Sarah Clifford had the goal), Sunday. The men’s squad lost to Unity in its finale Sunday, 2-0, to wind up 8-5-1 (7-3-1 in conference). SMCC hosted Central Maine CC in the YSCC quarterfinals Tuesday. If victorious, the Seawolves would advance to the final four in Concord, N.H.
St. Joe’s holding shooting clinic
St. Joseph’s College’s women’s basketball team will conduct a shooting clinic for girls in grades 3-9 Sunday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Harold Alfond Center on campus. The fee is $35 in advance or $45 the day of the clinic. FMI, 893-6671 or mikemcdevitt@sjcme.edu.
