BANGOR — Police say that a Bangor man has been charged with terrorizing after a Maine health center received a call that was considered threatening.

Bangor Police Department Sgt. Catherine Rumsey said that the Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall in Bangor reported the call Thursday morning. Police did not say what the call entailed.

Rumsey says officials at the health facility chose to lock their offices after the call was received to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Kip Reischman, 56, has been arrested. Police said he was taken to Penobscot County Jail.

Rumsey said the health facility has been reopened and patients are able to go to their appointments as usual.

The center is part of the Eastern Maine Healthcare System.
