BRUNSWICK — Pat Sperzel, 73, of Brunswick, passed peacefully into the hands of the Lord on Nov. 5, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born in Manhattan, NYC on Oct. 18, 1940, to the late Bernard and Rosalie Morris.

Pat graduated from Media High School (Media, PA) in 1958. She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and field hockey and cheerleading teams. She married John J. Sperzel in 1958, and they lived together in Virginia, New Mexico, California, and Puerto Rico, before moving to Maine in 1974.

Pat was a medical officer manager until she retired in 1996; having worked for Myron Kreuger, MD, Nancy Egan, MD, and Medical Center Pharmacy. She attended Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was an accomplished equestrian and was passionate about her family, her dogs, the game of golf, and loved to share stories about her children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband of 55 years: John Sperzel, of Brunswick, ME. She is also survived by four children: Barbara Fitzpatrick of Palmetto, FL; John Sperzel of New Brunswick, NJ; Jim Sperzel of Foxboro, MA; Susan Sperzel- Bowen of Fernandina Beach, FL. She also is survived by ten grandchildren: Mark Fitzpatrick, Michael Fitzpatrick, John Sperzel, Jeff Sperzel, Kyle Sperzel, DJ Sperzel, Sean Sperzel, Ryan Sperzel, Brianna Bowen, and Alex Bowen.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Nov. 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, ME.
