BRUNSWICK — Anne J. Albert, 81, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Horizon’s Nursing Center.

She was born on March 5, 1932, in Brunswick, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes (Moreau) Albert. She grew up in Waterville and graduated from Mount Merci Academy.

Annie worked for Health Tex Co., Benoit’s, Newbery’s, Drapeau’s Drug Store and at The Times Record. She also did a lot of volunteer work for the church.

Anne was an active member of St. John’s the Baptist Parish and the church sacristan for 20 years. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for over 40 years, member and past president of the Third Order of Mary, St. John’s Church.

Anne leaves behind her brother, the Rev. Andrew Albert, S.M., of Boston, Mass., her brother, Austin Albert of North Haven, Conn.; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visiting hours will be held today, Monday, Nov. 11, from 4-6 p.m. at Demers- Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, St. John’s Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick.
