DRESDEN — Police are investigating a report of burglary from a motor vehicle that included the theft of a handgun Dec. 13.

The complainant stated someone had taken a Springfield XD compact 9-mm handgun valued at $500 from his vehicle, along with a Dewalt 18V hammer drill driver valued at $400 and drill bits valued at $100.

Lincoln County Sheriff ’s Deputy Chad Gilbert is investigating.
